What is the real price of APple IPhone?
Hey. I was planning to buy a IPHONE. around this Jan or Feb. (2009). so, i looked up in the websites around and in Apple store, somewhere it says $299 for 8 gigs and somewhere $399 for 8 gigs. so some iphone users please answer my question: How much did you pay while buying a IPhone? and also do you need to pay any more money to use Wi-fi that you have in home if you do not want to use the ATT internet service?
It depends on whether you are in a position of being a new customer or if you are an existing customer. If you are a new customer then you qualify for the discounted pricing because you are signing a new 2 year contract. If you are an existing customer you need to be in the position of renewing your two year contract with a standard upgrade, which in general is achieved at the 21 month mark. If you want to buy it anyway regrdless of your contract position, then you pay the higher pricing as it is not in a discounted situation. The discounted pricing is $199 and $299 depending on the memory you choose. You can use Wifi for free, however you must have the $30 data plan regardless, as the data plan is part of the contract Apple set up.
